This started out as fanart based on my experiences in the DayZ game. I came upon a cool photograph of an abandoned road that I quite liked, and I envisioned it being populated with cars or abandoned trucks. After extending the original image horizontally and tweaking anything that stood out,  I used fSpy to track perspecrtive vanishing points and exported it to Blender. This was a great way to set up my scene and getting the angle just right for my camera. From there I could easily place objects and model anything I needed.
3D viewport render of scene in Blender
Once satisfied with a decent 3D base, I went in Photoshop to add photo textures of anything that would help bring the scene to life. Throughout the process I would adjust or colorgrade accordingly to enhance the mood and storytelling
